Why Sylvie’s Scholars?
Young people have more potential than they may realise. After leaving school, I worked as a Teaching Assistant in a secondary school. I supported children with Special Educational Needs and saw first-hand the lack of confidence and belief in their ability.
I set up an English tutoring club where I broke down learning in a way they could understand. I learnt first-hand how important it was to make teaching both enjoyable and accessible. Their grades and confidence soared as a result.
And I’ve continued this pattern with my tutees. I also never stop learning myself. Following top grades at school and university, I’ve qualified in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and I have a Special Educational Needs diploma. Committed to lifelong learning, I’ll shortly be a fully qualified teacher.
